SW:TOR Getting 1.2 Legacy Update

SW:TOR Getting 1.2 Legacy Update

None

In the early days of Star Wars: The Old Republic, EA and BioWare were focused on making sure that the gameplay experience was stable and enjoyable. According to a recent press release, they have achieved that goal and now can turn their focus on dropping content-filled updates.

The first update in question is TOR 1.2 – Legacy. This update will introduce several new aspects of the legacy system. Players can now link characters together into a family tree which allows them to unlock special Legacy only abilities. It’s a whole new, more intimate take on guilds and groups.

The update will also include a new Flashpoint, Operation, and Warzone. Flashpoint: Lost Island continues the Kaon Under Siege Flashpoint from the previous content update. Operation: Explosive Conflict will send groups of players to the planet Denova in a battle over the planet’s valuable resources. Finally, Warzone: Novare Coast puts two teams against each other in an attempt to control mortar locations which bombard the enemy’s base.

Expect the Legacy update to drop sometime in April.

Also, a new Friends Trial program for SW:TOR has started today. For a limited time, you will be able to send invitations to friends who don’t play. This invite will give them seven days of free access to the game. Trial members will also be able to purchase SW:TOR at a reduced price during their trial.
