Tekken 7 , the latest in Bandai Namco’s legendary 3D fighter series, is coming soon. It drops on June 2, to be precise. Today, Bandai Namco has dropped information about the game’s post-release DLC offerings, which currently extend from the summer of launch all the way to springtime 2018.
In summer, when the game launches, the DLC is all about costumes. Bandai Namco says more than 50 costumes will be available as paid DLC. A new game mode will also be available, but we don’t know what that is yet.
After that is the real meat and potatoes of the Tekken 7 DLC plan. The second and third DLC packs will each include a new character. Not only that, these characters will be guest appearances from other video game licenses. These characters will have unique stages and costumes tied to their respective IPs. Tekken 7 will also boast customizable loading screens feature character art from different artists Bandai Namco has established partnerships with.
All the DLC will of course be available via Season Pass, which is either a separate purchase or included with the Collector’s Edition. Now, feel free to jump into online speculation about those guest characters.
