You know how Atlus’ Etrian Odyssey games go. Create a party of custom characters, go into a labyrinth, realize it’s far more difficult and terrifying than you thought it would be, create maps, learn, and hopefully, survive. The new Untold installments eschew that formula, however, due to a story mode and easier difficulty levels. Fortunately, you’ll have a chance to see if Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight will be right for you with a demo.
Atlus has revealed that an Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold demo will be out on July 14, 2015 in the 3DS eShop. It will be free, of course, and offer incentives to people who pick it up. So even if you’re sold on the game, you should get it.
This demo’s data carries over to a Story Mode save file in the final game. This means the progress you make with the Fafnir Knight, Flavio, and Arianna on the Yggdrasil Labyrinth’s first floor will give you a head start. So don’t be afraid to give it a try.
