TGS 2011: Kingdom Hearts 3D Release Date

TGS 2011: Kingdom Hearts 3D Release Date

None

Those lucky enough to attend the Tokyo Game Show got a sneak peak at the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance title from Square Enix. Square revealed a few minor graphical updates and character info.

First, and I’m assuming only hardcore Kingdom Hearts fans will appreciate this, protagonists Sora and Riku have received swanky costume updates.

Second, and more interesting, it looks like Dream Drop Distance will include a cameo from Neku. Some of you will remember Neku as the main character from 2007’s The World Ends with You. Sadly, Neku is not a playable character, but he needs your help to keep him from getting killed. Neku is the first non-Disney, non-Final Fantasy character to show up in Kingdom Hearts. Are you really going to let him die? Jerk.

Dream Drop Distance is reportedly a graphically brilliant game, but still has a few camera issues that will hopefully be worked out by the final release. Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will probably hit shelves in the Spring of 2012, but an exact date has not yet been revealed.
