Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Has Been Delayed

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Has Been Delayed

Guess what game’s been delayed? I’ll give you a hint – there is both a Kingdom and a Hearts in its name. No, it isn’t Kingdom Hearts 3 . I’m talking about Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter , another part of Square Enix’s continuing plan to hopefully keep you interested and invested in the series while you wait forever for the third entry to arrive. Instead of arriving in December 2016, this collection will be out on January 24, 2017.

If you’re looking for something to blame, go ahead and cast your gaze on Final Fantasy XV . Tetsuya Nomura confirmed Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue was pushed back because of Final Fantasy XV and its delay. Forces that would have been working on this had to go work on that.

This is a shame, mainly because Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue includes a game every Kingdom Hearts fan should play. I’m talking about Kingdom Hearts HD: Dream Drop Distance . The Nintendo 3DS game actually had new worlds added to it, giving us a chance to actually see Sora and Riku grow as characters, and it deserves a bigger audience. As a frame of reference, this compilation also includes the Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage game that stars Aqua and a Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover Foretellers story.

But hey, at least the knowledge that this game will support the PlayStation 4 Pro helps soften that delay blow!
