The Witcher 2 Lauded With Awards, Seeking Mods

The Witcher 2 Lauded With Awards, Seeking Mods

At this year’s Gamescom, CD Projekt RED came out swinging. The Poland-based developer has seen tremendous success and critical acclaim with The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, as well as its recently-released “Enhanced Edition,” which continued at the European Game Awards, at which it was nominated in nine out of 22 categories, winning six prizes, including the big kahuna, “Best European Game.”

They subsequently announced REDkit, a set of official mod-tools for The Witcher 2, which they are encouraging the gaming public to pick up and use to create “mature, non-linear, and engrossing stories set in vivid worlds filled with believable characters.”

In the same press release that collected these details, CD Projekt RED further indicated that it is seeking work for its new projects, which include the recently announced Cyberpunk and an as-of-yet unspecified “Dark Fantasy RPG” that may be another game in The Witcher series.
