The Witcher Bewitches More Than Four Million

The Witcher Bewitches More Than Four Million

None

CDProjekt RED has, themselves, only released two games. Their sister company, CDProjekt, distributes a wealth of them through GOG.com (including CDProjekt RED’s titles), but the developer only truly has The Witcher and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings to its name. Today, though, CDProjekt Red has announced that their flagship series, over two games and three total releases, has sold more than four million units.

For a privately developed RPG based on an Eastern European dark fantasy series long since concluded, that is absolutely stunning, and a testament to the drive and effort of the company behind it (as well as, of course, the quality of their product). This is particularly exciting given that CDProjekt RED has recently announced that they will be branching out, beyond their dark fantasy Witcher roots and into the world of Cyberpunk. Can they do for this property (and its beleaguered, eponymous, sci-fi sub-genre) what they did for The Witcher?
