Tony Hawk May Be Back For Good

Tony Hawk May Be Back For Good

None

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD has been selling well. Really well. ( It sold over 120,000 copies in the first week, in fact .)

According to Josh Tsui, CEO of Robomodo, this has caused the gears to start turning in Activision’s head about possibly bringing the entire franchise back. “The prospect of a fuller game is definitely on the table,” Tsui said to Gamasutra. “It’s just a matter of when and how.”

You probably remember that the Tony Hawk series was abandoned back in 2010 due to the unbelievable flop of Tony Hawk: Ride and its barely working skateboard peripheral. Now that the game is coming back to the controller, the way it should be, fans are looking at the franchise much more graciously.

Perhaps we will see some great things from the Tony Hawk’s franchise in the future. If the sales of THPS HD are any indication, there is still a soft spot for gravity-defying pro skating in the hearts of gamers everywhere.
