Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark Dated

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark Dated

Oh look. Another Transformers game. The latest video game interpretation of the beloved childhood franchise that Michael Bay turned into an explosion fest with racist robots and crane testicles has finally been dated. Activision has announced that Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is expected to launch on June 24 th for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, 3DS, and PC. The game has previously only been pegged for a release sometime during the summer of 2014.

GameStop customers who pre-order any non-Nintendo version of the game will receive the “Weathered Warrior Pack” expansion, which will include two additional characters–Thundercracker and Skywarp–and two weapons, the Glass Gas Cannon, and the Electro Bolter. The weapons will be usable in both the game’s single and multiplayer modes. The Wii U and 3DS versions will not be receiving the DLC, and it is doubtful that they will receive any DLC in the future.

Fan opinion on this upcoming Transformers game has been somewhat mixed since it was announced. On one hand, past Transformers titles haven’t been that bad, but on the other hand a massive multiplatform licensed release is almost always a recipe for tragedy. We will bring you a full review when the game releases later this summer.
