After the success of the Disney adaptation of Prince of Persia, Ubisoft started looking at adapting its own franchises into movies. After purchasing and developing their own visual effects studio and production company, Ubisoft finally announced that they will be adapting almost all of their flagship franchises into feature-length films.  Although no specifics are available yet, Assassin’s Creed, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and even Rayman: Raving Rabbids will be adapted. Of course, it’s easy to be skeptical about the quality of these movies, but hopefully Ubisoft has the resources to make all of these adaptations as good as they deserve to be. |
