Almost everyone who’s had the opportunity to see a movie based on a video game has left the theater with a craving for anti-depressants. Remember that Super Mario Bros. movie? So does your psychiatrist. Well, it looks like fans of Assassin’s Creed will get several opportunities to feel depressed, because Sony Pictures has just closed a deal with Ubisoft that would allow them to create a franchise based on the game. Just so we’re clear, the word “franchise” means that they’ll be creating more than one movie. 
Hopefully Assassin’s Creed won’t be as bad as I expect it to be, but I’m not holding my breath. By Josh Engen |
