Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Gets Strange

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Gets Strange

None

A while ago, every new character for Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 was leaked, but we still didn’t know how they played. Now, thanks to a new Gamescom reveal trailer, we have some insight into a couple more characters play styles.

Dr. Strange is up first, and he seems to be an interesting mish-mash of a rushdown character and a zoning character. He can fly, fire projectiles, set traps and delayed homing projectiles, guide a fireball with pre-set beacons, teleport, and more. His attacks are rather fast, and his attack chain is longer than most characters’. His supers are mostly beams, one vertical, and another horizontal, though his level three (like most level 3s) is a cinematic super.

Nemesis, on the other hand, is big, slow, dumb, and partially projectile-based. Not only can he fire off rounds from his rocket launcher, but he can use his zombie tentacles and exploding pus (no really) to attack people from half a screen away. He has a projectile super that can OTG and a level 3 that turns him into his monstrous final boss form.

The trailers also showcased some new moves for old characters as well. Wolverine has a new mashing “swiss cheese” move where he stabs people with his claws repeatedly. C. Viper has Cyclops’s optic blasts. She-Hulk can hit you with a telephone pole to cause a wall bounce. Chun-Li can do a Spinning Bird Kick without moving. Morrigan has a projectile that sucks meter away. Finally, Hulk can charge up a punch that has super armor.
