Yesterday, Christophe Balestra, Co-President of Naughty Dog, announced via Twitter that Uncharted 3 has finally gone gold. The tweet, which simply said “We are officially GOLD in the US #uncharted3,” only went out to the producer’s 5,000 followers, but immediately sparked a wave of excitement across the Internet. Following the announcement, Sony and Naughty Dog confirmed that the game was on track for their November 1st release date and threw in a little surprise: All copies of Uncharted 3 will include a voucher for the Starhawk public beta in 2012. Sony hasn’t been particularly forthcoming about details of the beta, but plans to release more information very soon, and the full game is expected on February 1, 2012.
