Over One Million Charted In Uncharted Beta

Over One Million Charted In Uncharted Beta

None

In a testament to the quality and the draw of Naughty Dog’s seminal Uncharted series, the Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception multiplayer beta drew over one million players into its fold.

With over a week still remaining before the beta’s July 14 close, Sony reported that the beta passed the million player mark on Tuesday July 5. Considering that the beta had opened to the general public only a day before, this is an incredible accomplishment, and the numbers don’t seem likely to go down. Just yesterday, Naughty Dog released a new map for the beta, set in Yemen, as well as a new “Co-Op Adventure” game type.

Gamers who have not yet jumped on the beta bandwagon should do so soon, as those who demonstrate a certain fervor in their participation will be granted certain rewards that are promised to carry over to the retail version. Levels gained and most items unlocked, however, will not.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will be out November 1, exclusively on the PlayStation 3.
