With the end of the year drawing near, it’s time to focus on the smaller titles that may have gotten lost in the shuffle earlier this month. One of which is Unravel , a charming platformer from indie studio Coldwood Interative and published by EA. Bet you didn’t realize EA would publish something so indie!

Yarny is a game set in Scandinavia. A little man made of yarn goes through Unravel ‘s 2.5 D world, venturing far from his home with an old woman to probably reach someone important. I mean, would you go to the lengths seen in the trailer for someone who didn’t matter? He uses his thread to meander through the world and reach his destination, but be careful not to unwind him completely!
Unravel will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs on February 9, though Xbox One owners with EA Access can play it earlier. It will be $19.99 at launch, though an EA Access 10% discount will bring it to $17.99 for an undisclosed amount of time.
