It isn’t just the fifteenth birthday of Cheat Code Central , y’know. Wolfenstein 3D has just hit the big two-oh, meaning that the entire first-person shooter genre as we know it is now almost old enough to legally drink. To celebrate, Bethesda, which bought id Software in 2009 and thus owns the rights to the game, has released it as a free-to-play browser game, compatible with Chrome 16, Internet Explorer 9, Safari 5, and Firefox 11. In celebration, Steam is also listing the game as its Daily Deal, at 75% off, so if you don’t already have ready access to an offline version of the game, there you go.
