Xbox 360 Still Sells Like Hotcakes

Xbox 360 Still Sells Like Hotcakes

None

When Nintendo released its financials earlier this week, the news was bad. Both the Wii and DS were down in sales, the 3DS failed to meet its 2 million units sold mark in the first week of release, and software wasn’t selling well either. Microsoft, however, is doing extremely well. During the last fiscal quarter (which ended March 31st, for those of you keeping track), 2.7 million Xbox 360 units were sold and 2.4 million Kinect units were sold.

These numbers are very interesting considering much has been made in recent months about the Xbox 360’s rapidly aging hardware and the lack of games released to support the Kinect peripheral. Still, it looks like the Xbox 360 is far from a dying console, and there are plenty of people still looking to purchase both the console and the Kinect unit.
