When the Xbox One first launched, Microsoft tried its hardest to brand it as an entertainment console, not just a gaming console. One of the biggest features was the ability to watch live TV directly through the Xbox One’s interface. Now, it’s looking like the Xbox One will be getting yet another piece of media functionality: DVR capabilities. Apparently, the Xbox One will be receiving a DVR update sometime this year.
The news comes by way of Thurott, who could only say that “sources” were able to tell them this. Microsoft has not commented on these sources, making it only rumor and speculation for now. We will bring you more information on this coming update as it becomes available.
