360 Outsells PS3 and Even Wii in Japan

360 Outsells PS3 and Even Wii in Japan

According to Famitsu Magazine through EnterBrain, the 360 sold 28,681 from September 8 to September 14. This made the 360 the best selling console in Japan by a very large margin, as the PS3 sold 8,050 units and the Wii 27,057 units.

The recent success can be attributed to reduced interest in Wii, the price drop, the new 60 GB bundle, increased supply, and the release of Infinite Undiscovery and the prospect of other JRPG exclusives for the console.

Interestingly, the 360 has now sold over 717,275 units in Japan compared to the original Xbox’s poor performance, which never saw the console surpass 500,000 units sold in the country.
