Are there any known cheat codes for Witchfire?
Witchfire is a dark fantasy first-person shooter from The Astronauts, released on Windows on Sept. 20, 2023. It combines dark fantasy with intense gunplay. You play as an immortal witch hunter armed with both magic and guns. You’re on a mission to confront a powerful witch in the Black Sea and recover a mysterious artifact that could change the course of the ongoing war. The game lacks any notable voice acting because there aren’t many NPCs. It’s really about UI systems and combat.
What makes Witchfire stand out is its impressive graphics. Using photogrammetry technology like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, the game creates a stunning and immersive dark fantasy world. Get ready for a unique gaming experience that blends magic and mayhem. Plus, it’s all set against a visually captivating and atmospheric backdrop.
The Astronauts describe it reasonably well, “Desperate for a chance to triumph in the deadly war against witches, the Church calls on forbidden pagan magic to turn willing sinners into immortal witch hunters called Preyers. Armed with powerful spells and fearsome firearms conjured by the best Vatican sorcerers, your mission is to find the infamous witch of the Black Sea, destroy the phantom army that protects her, and retrieve a mysterious artifact that can finally turn the tide of war.” Think magic, guns and demons. The perfect blend for a Friday evening gamefest.
Witchfire Premise
Venture forth into a dark and mysterious fantasy realm. You’ll take on the role of an immortal witch hunter armed with a potent blend of magic and firearms. Your daunting mission: confront a formidable witch and her spectral army. You also want to obtain a long-lost and enigmatic artifact capable of shifting the tides in this relentless war. The game’s remarkable and immersive visuals were meticulously crafted through photogrammetry technology. The game transports players into a spellbinding world filled with peril and wonder.
Witchfire Weapons
Because the game lacks any known NPCs or characters, players can instead focus on the weapons in the game. Here is a basic description of the some of the weapons and the player’s feedback.
- Hunger: Described as a good all-rounder with no complaints. The starter gun feels solid and capable.
- Midas: Suggested improvement includes increasing its heat capacity by 3-5 rounds before overheating.
- All-Seeing Eye: Feedback suggests increasing its damage output to 35-40 damage per shot, as it currently requires three critical hits to kill certain enemies.
- Cricket: The only suggestion is to add 1 more meter of range, but otherwise, it’s considered fine.
- Echo and Hailstorm: No specific comments provided as the player hadn’t tried them yet.
- Crossbow: Generally considered good, but there may be a bug where it occasionally hits the player when it hits nearby enemies. This issue needs further verification.
Witchfire Games in the Series
