6,000 MW3 Copies Nabbed In Truck Heist

None

When Black Ops first came out, a hundred or so copies of the game were stolen in Maryland by a couple guys with guns who held up a GameStop. Well, history repeats itself in a much bigger way, as 6,000 copies of Modern Warfare 3 were stolen in a truck heist in France over the weekend.

While the Black Ops Bandits simply held up a store at gunpoint, the Modern Warfare Felons implemented more elaborate tactics. They used tear gas to disable the truck drivers before making off with a video game shipment worth over 400,000 Euros.

Here is a piece of advice: If you are in France and you happen by one of these stolen copies, don’t start playing until the game officially releases. Activision has said that playing Modern Warfare 3 before its official release date could get you perma-banned from online play. As a matter of fact, just purchase the game legit anyway. Not only will you be supporting Activision, you will have made these thieves’ complicated heist completely useless in the process.
