ToeJam & Earl is one of the most under-appreciated game series out there. It’s an old-school platforming and adventure game starring two of the funkiest alien beings you’ve ever encountered. My introduction to the series was the Xbox’s ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth , and I swear to you, there are still songs from that game that pop into my head and won’t leave for days. The soundtrack was fantastic and the gameplay was excellent.
There’s a new ToeJam & Earl headed our way thanks to Adult Swim Games. Adult Swim announced today that it will be publishing ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove , which is due out next year on consoles and PC. Expect to run away from crazy Earthlings, collect records, and pacify enemies with the power of funk. We should get more info and some gameplay footage at this year’s PAX West, where Back in the Groove will be playable. In the meantime, enjoy this short trailer:
