Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Pushed To 2013

Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs, the follow-up to 2010’s breakaway survivor horror hit Amnesia: The Dark Descent, has seen its release date pushed from around Halloween of this year to sometime in early 2013, according to creative director Dan Pinchbeck.

“The quality of the game is the absolute first, last, and always with this development, and we felt it could do with a few more months’ work to make sure that’s really going to happen,” Pinchbeck told GameZone about the new delay.

A Machine For Pigs, termed an “indirect sequel” to The Dark Descent, is being co-developed by original creators Frictional Games and Dear Esther dev thechineseroom. The story will focus on Oswald Mandus, a well-off industrialist in the midst of a Victorian-based late 19th century setting, as he struggles to piece his life back together while suffering from a nightmare-inducing disease begotten from previous travels.
