Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Bigger, Better, And Almost Ready

Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Bigger, Better, And Almost Ready

The sequel to Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which was widely regarded as one of the most atmospheric and terrifying horror games of all time, is practically ready to go. In a post today on the Frictional Games website, the team indicates that they have received the final version of the game from thechineseroom. The long process of quality assurance still remains, with bug testing, tweaking, optimizing, porting, and translating all ahead of them, but they are ready to set a release window: Q2 2013.

Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs was originally intended for release on Halloween 2012, but delays are hardly unexpected with ambitious projects from smaller, independent developers. Especially when the initial concept–a short, experimental title–transformed into a full-fledged Amnesia title.
