Amsterdam Opens Europe’s First Hotel for Gamers

Amsterdam Opens Europe’s First Hotel for Gamers

Amsterdam is a wonderful city. Imagine this: You’ve had a long day exploring the Netherlands. You’ve seen more flowers than you’ve ever seen in your life, tasted the best crepes and mustard soup on the planet, and at the end of the day you sit outside of a “coffee house,” smoking a professionally rolled herbal cigarette and listening to the chatter of interesting people in a handful of languages. When you’re ready to retire, you could head back to The Arcade Hotel, a newly opened hotel designed specifically with gamers in mind. Owner Daniel Salmanovich said that he “…wanted to create a place where travelers and gamers feel like they are staying at a friend’s home.”

Every room sports a retro console with games, the bar area will give you a handheld to game on while you sip some local gin, there’s a comic book library if you decide you want to sit back and do some reading, or you might want to meet new friends in the lobby as you play games together on some of the shared consoles there. It really does sound like a dream come true. If you plan on visiting Amsterdam any time in the near future (if you do, please try some mustard soup there), you can book your room at The Arcade Hotel here .
