In a recent interview with Forbes, Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime said that he sees competition from Apple as a bigger threat to Nintendo than competition from Microsoft. Since Nintendo’s dominance is primarily in the handheld software sphere, Apple’s new focus on handheld gaming on the iPhone/iPad platforms could present some competition for Nintendo, especially in the burgeoning “casual” market.  |
