Arnold Schwarzenegger Talks New Terminator Film

Arnold Schwarzenegger Talks New Terminator Film

It’s certainly been a long and ever-changing timeline for the Terminator series since its glory days of the early-90s. Now, with the new film about to begin shooting, we get new details from the Governator himself.

Arnold reveals that the upcoming production will take place over several months (which is normal for a big budget action film of this size) and will run the gamut of locations on both the East Coast to the West. “We start filming in the middle or in the end of April and it will be a four or four-and-a-half month long shoot. We will be filming it in New Orleans with some of it in San Francisco and maybe a little of it in LA but most of it will be done in New Orleans.”  Schwarzenegger says.

The last time we saw Arnold in the flesh (so to speak) as the T-800 was the so-so entry of Terminator 3 . While many would like to forget this film, he did make a CG cameo in the latest Terminator Salvation (starring Christian Bale as John Connor). Arnold now reveals how happy he is to finally return to the role that made him a household name. He touts, “I’m really looking forward to that because as you know, the last time when they did the Terminator , it was when I was Governor and so I couldn’t be in that movie but now I’m back again and they are very excited about having me in the film… The script is fantastic so I’m really looking forward to this film.”

The upcoming film is the beginning of a new stand-alone Trilogy in the franchise. More details to come once the release date has been confirmed.
