Bastion: Now Playable In Google Chrome

None

Hit indie game Bastion is now available on several platforms. You can play it on the HD consoles by downloading it on XBLA. You can play it on the PC by downloading it individually, or perhaps even in a bundle, on Steam. Now, you can even play it right in your browser.

We aren’t talking about some toned-down version of the game either. This is the full, head-to-toe Bastion experience, right in a browser tab, as long as you’re running Google Chrome. You can head over to the Chrome Web Store, and you’ll literally be playing in seconds, 1080p artwork and all. If you haven’t played yet, you might as well head on over to at least play the free trial.

In addition to this browser-based version, Bastion is actually getting a new DLC pack called the Stranger’s Dream DLC. According to Supergiant Games, this is a holiday present they are giving to their fans to be so supportive.

The DLC includes a new “Who Knows Where” sequence that is apparently crazy difficult, and two new game modes. The first mode is No-Sweat mode, which allows you to play with infinite lives. The second is Score Attack mode, which rates your performance in each level and uploads it to a leaderboard. No-Sweat mode is already activated on the Chrome version, and all of this DLC will be activated for free on the Steam version. Unfortunately, due to Microsoft’s DLC policies, Stranger’s Dream cannot be free, so they are selling it for one dollar.
