Thankfully, DICE is not resting on its laurels. In addition to Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield Heroes, and Battlefield 1943, fans of the franchise will be rewarded with a true successor to the mainline franchise. EA COO John Pleasants let it be known at the William Blair Growth Stock Conference today that he has personally viewed the status of Battlefield 3 at DICE, and that the game is coming along swimmingly. Specifically Pleasants noted, as picked up on by G4’s Patrick Klepek, “I’ve had the luxury of looking at Battlefield 3 over at DICE in Sweden and was highly impressed by the way the team is working on that product. Of course, that’s not [coming out] in the fiscal year, but that is a product that is looking very good.”
