Electronic Arts Executive Frank Gibeau may or may not have confirmed that another Battlefield sequel was in the works this week. While speaking on a college campus, Gibeau reportedly stated, “There is going to be a Battlefield 4.” His remark almost instantly found its way into Twitter updates across the globe. However, shortly after the remarks were made, EA took to the Internet and quickly mitigated the comments. “Frank was speaking broadly about the Battlefield brand—a brand that EA is deeply passionate about and a fan community that EA is committed to,” stated an EA representative. 
However, chances are that EA will eventually get around to releasing Battlefield 4. Hopefully it doesn’t take them another six years. By Josh Engen |
