With Battlefield 4’s “Final Stand” expansion, players can now duke it out on four unique and distinct, infantry-focused maps, all of which are set in Russia, and feature militarized installations in a wintry landscape.
As of Tuesday, November 18, those who subscribed to Battlefield 4’s premium service will now have access to Last Stand, which is now available across all platforms: PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
So, what exactly do you get with Final Stand, aside from new maps? Well, you’ll get a brand-new hover-tank to lay down some destruction with, along with a snowmobile, new moments of levolution, a remote-controlled high-speed drone, and even a rail gun.
The four new maps themselves–titled “Giants of Karelia”, “Hammerhead”, “Hanger 21” and “Operation Whiteout”–will see you and your time fight against the opposing team under sub-zero conditions and harsh blizzards. What’s more is that, if you take cover inside, you’ll also be able to find military prototypes similar to those featured in Battlefield 2142 .
Last Stand will be available to non-premium members on Tuesday, December 2. You can watch some Final Stand gameplay via the embedded video below. We’ll bring you more news on Battlefield 4 should further information reach our ears.
