Blizzard must be in a Throwback Thursday sort of mood this month, because it’s putting a lot of effort into its older games. Last week, Diablo II received a patch after about six years . Next, Warcraft III will be getting an update. Talk about making something old a little bit new again!
Robert Bridenbecker, Blizzard’s head of classic games, announced the Warcraft III patch in a video for Chinese fans. Warcraft III patch 1.27 will be released on March 15. It’ll be the first patch for the game since 2011, when patch 1.26a was released.

Bridenbecker didn’t say what the patch will entail. If the Diablo II patch is any indication, it’ll be about making Warcraft III work on more modern systems.
