Apparently, critical acclaim has translated into commercial success. Take-Two Interactive, parent of 2K Games, released its fiscal fourth-quarter 2009 findings today. In it, the company mentioned that Gearbox’s Borderlands has proved to be a financial success, with over 2 million units sold, and establishing it as a legitimate franchise. “Borderlands from 2K Games has now sold over 2 million units worldwide and has established itself as a key franchise for Take-Two, for which the Company has long-term publishing rights,” stated the financial report. |
