Call of Duty: Ghosts Will Include Voice Commands

Call of Duty: Ghosts Will Include Voice Commands

Recently, Call of Duty: Ghosts producer Mark Rubin has revealed that the Xbox One version will utilize the Kinect for a variety of purpose. For example, a full set of voice controls will be integrated into the game. Rubin says that it’s “mostly menu stuff,” allowing you to alter your loadouts, join games, and otherwise navigate the games menus through simple voice commands. Activision and Infinity Ward have not yet confirmed whether or not the Kinect will be used in other ways, but they do acknowledge the peripheral’s potential. Rubin went on to say that Microsoft is really pushing the Kinect, and many game developers are being encouraged to insert Kinect functionality into their games. “We need to see where it goes before we jump into it.” Rubin said. “We’ve never really been the company that thinks it has to be first in line for tech. It’s the tortoise and the hare thing, and we would rather be the tortoise, take our time on the tech and make sure it’s right.”
