Big changes are in store for Call of Duty. First of all, the Call of Duty: Elite beta begins today. The service, which is aiming to add a social aspect to the Call of Duty franchise, will allow players to track stats, join clans, set up tournaments, and, of course, harass that guy who shot them in the head fifteen times. Activision Social Media Manager Dan Amrich says that the beta will probably get off to a rocky start, and he advises beta participants to have patience when trying out the new features. “Remember, this is a live beta with an evolving system.” Amrich said. “it’s like entering the Indy 500 while the car is still being built. As long as the system can remain stable, more people will be invited as frequently as possible—as many and as often as the system can accommodate.”
