PS Vita title DUST 514 Neocom is a bit of a mystery. Though we knew it had something to do with the upcoming FPS DUST 514, which was tied into the MMO EVE Online, we knew that it wasn’t, in fact, a direct conversion.
But Marketing Director Cameron Payne of CCP recently revealed some details of the Vita DUST app.
Instead, it will essentially give you access to the entire menu system outside of gameplay. This means you can use the app to tinker with your character and vehicle loadouts, visit the game’s built-in store, message other players, and even navigate around the EVE universe map. It’s a must-have app for anyone who wants to spent their entire life trading their weapons and armor. And it’s free.
That being said, you aren’t missing out on anything if you don’t have a Vita. Everything that is accessible in the companion app will be accessible in the full version of the game. It simply won’t be accessible on the road.
