Nintendo has announced two groups of new amiibo at E3. The first group includes three amiibo based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild . There’s an archer Link (shown above), a mounted Link, and a squiggly-armed Guardian enemy. On the E3 Treehouse stream, it was revealed that the Guardian’s arms will be poseable, making it the first poseable amiibo ever created. These amiibo will be available in 2017, presumably around the launch of Zelda .
The second group of amiibo will be a new Super Mario series. It includes Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, Rosalina, Boo, Donkey Kong, and Diddy Kong. Repeat amiibo in this line will have simpler poses and less detailed models than their Super Smash Bros. counterparts, presumably allowing Nintendo to produce a larger number of them. I know some of you have been waiting with bated breath for a Waluigi figure, so here you go! These amiibo will be available on November 4, 2016.
