Expanded Connectivity Between Wii and DSi Coming Via SDHC Support?

None

G4TV’s Raymond Padilla reported that high capacity SD card up to 32 GB (SDHC) support for Wii via Wii Menu 4.0 is only the beginning.

According to the rumor, SDHC cards, loaded with games, will be used between both the Wii and the DSi. In other words, much like the inter-playability between PS3 and PSP, players will be able to transfer and play many Virtual Console and WiiWare games between the two consoles, preserving their latest game save all the while.

Going one step further, games may even allow for console-specific functionality depending upon where you play the games, i.e. camera support opens up while in DSi and motion controls work while in the Wii.

None of this has been confirmed, but the speculation should be made clearer at E3 2009, now just a mere eight weeks away.
