If you’re a big fan of hulky Gears of War main character Marcus Fenix, we’ve got some bad news for you: the forthcoming Gears of War 3 will be his last outing with the franchise. Though executive producer Rod Fergusson said that the Gears universe will continue after the third iteration, Marcus Fenix’s story will end at the conclusion of the third game, and there will be no cliffhangers teasing the next game.  Of course, this has prompted immediate fan speculation that Fenix is going to end up dead at the end of Gears of War 3, but I don’t think Epic would close the door on their main man completely. Sure, he may only speak in guttural tones and have the emotional range of a komodo dragon, but he’s lovable in his own way! |
