FIFA 22 Cheats & Cheat Codes for Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Windows, and More

FIFA 22 is a football simulation game published by EA Sports, and developed in collaboration with EA Vancouver and EA Romania. The game is a recent title in EA Sports’ long-running FIFA franchise, which to date is the most popular football video game series in the world. It is available on a variety of platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

With its 78 rating on Metacritic, the game fares well with critics, even if not all fans aren’t receptive to the game. It Electronic Arts claims that over 9 million copies of FIFA 22 were sold in the first few months of release. Despite not everyone loving the game, there’s no doubt it is a wildly successful iteration of the series.

The gameplay of FIFA 22 is the beautiful game as you know it. 11 players against 11, trying to kick a ball in the back of a net. The gameplay itself is a little more nuanced than that, the result of over two decades of EA Sports attempting to create the perfect football simulation. The game feels extremely smooth, only surpassed in realism by later games from EA Sports.

FIFA 22 has a few different game modes for you to get the ultimate football experience. There’s the classic Career Mode, which sees you take charge of an individual player or manager throughout a 15-year career. Pro Clubs is another fan-favorite, where you play as one player alongside friends in competitive matches. VOLTA returns from FIFA 21, a game mode that serves mostly as a successor to the FIFA Street series with a focus on skill moves and arcade gameplay.

However, none are as popular as Ultimate Team. In Ultimate Team, you create your team from cards that you collect either by purchasing from the in-game marketplace, or by opening packs with real money. A staple of the series ever since FIFA 09, Ultimate Team uses promotional cards to keep players returning throughout the year, giving players different ways to play with their favorite players. While the loot-box mechanics of Ultimate Team have come in for heavy criticism over the years, there’s no denying how popular it remains even today.

FIFA 22 Main Characters

The FIFA franchise doesn’t tend to have traditional main characters as you might see in other games. You can play with whatever team you’d like, with over 17,000 football players to use in-game. However, it does have a cover star – Paris Saint Germain’s Kylian Mbappe. A star of the football world, Mbappe was an obvious choice for FIFA 22‘s cover star, and is the closest thing the game has to a ‘main character’.

That said, the Career Mode in FIFA 22 does allow you to create your own manager to play as across a 15-year career. In a way, the main character of FIFA 22 can be whoever you want it to be.

FIFA 22 Titles in the Series

FIFA 22 is one of the most recent titles in EA Sports’ iconic FIFA series. For many, this franchise defines what a football game is supposed to be. Pro Evolution Soccer had its moment in the mid-2000s, and the popular Football Manager franchise is a different genre altogether. FIFA has stood the test of time over the years, thanks in part to the ever-popular Ultimate Team mode.

After EA lost the license to the FIFA name, it was confirmed that FIFA 23 was to be the final game in the franchise. In late 2023, it was succeeded by EA Sports FC 24, although it remains to be seen if FIFA (the football governing body) will revive the video game series under the old name.

FIFA 22 Cheat Codes

If you’re looking for good old-fashioned cheat codes in FIFA 22, you won’t find them. They just don’t exist. Especially in Ultimate Team, where EA has a vested financial interest in ensuring players don’t cheat.

However, if you’re an avid Career Mode player, there are steps you can take to make sure you can use FIFA 22 cheats by using a third-party tool. We’d recommend you do this offline, without connecting to the EA servers. Playing with cheats while connected could lead to a ban, which isn’t what we want. Also, it should be noted that this method of cheating can only be done on the PC version of FIFA 22.

For this, we’re going to be using Cheat Engine, so you must first download and install that program. From here, there are multiple cheat tables you could use for FIFA 22, but the one we’re going to show you comes from GitHub user xAranaktu. By heading to this FIFA 22 cheat table, you can download and use it in-game for Career Mode.

This cheat table has a wide variety of options you can tweak, including the editing of players, budgets, and even the time of day prior to a match. It’s extremely in-depth, allowing you to continue one career beyond the normal 15-year limit. When looking at the screenshots on the GitHub page, you really get a sense of how deep this cheat table goes in Career Mode. While you have to disable the online functions of the game, in our opinion this is the ultimate way to play FIFA 22‘s Career Mode.

Are There Cheat Codes in FIFA 22?

Unfortunately, there are no traditional cheat codes in FIFA 22. As a series, FIFA has never really embraced cheat codes in this way, so players have had to resort to other methods to get an advantage.

How Do You Cheat Money in FIFA 22 Career Mode?

Even if you can’t cheat money in FIFA 22‘s Career Mode, you can use an infinite money glitch to achieve the same effect.

To do this, follow the following steps:

  • Move plenty of your transfer budget into your wages (to around an 88:12 split)
  • Enter transfer negotiations for a free agent, and offer him your entire wage budget
  • End the season
  • Readjust your budget again, giving yourself a higher transfer budget from your wages
  • Release the former free agent, and pay his massive release fee
  • This frees up a massive amount of wages – move it back into your transfer budget

Thanks to a bizarre mathematical glitch in Career Mode, this gives you an absurdly high transfer budget to work with in FIFA 22. Enjoy!

How Do You Cheat in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team?

There’s simply no way for you to cheat in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. Coins or players regardless, it just isn’t possible. It isn’t worth it, either. At this point, the game is a few years old. Using a third-party tool to try and cheat will likely result in a ban for your EA account, which surely isn’t worth it for a game that will likely be shut down in the next couple of years.

Because the monetization strategy of Ultimate Team relies so hard on players not being able to cheat, EA is militant at ensuring it’s as difficult as possible. This remains true in FIFA 22, and in other iterations of the series.
