PSP owners will soon be able to experience a piece of Final Fantasy history. Final Fantasy III, originally released in the 8-Bit era, is coming to the PSN in a glorious remake.
Final Fantasy III was the first instance of the classic Final Fantasy job system. The original featured four nameless orphans on a quest to save the world, though the game has since been given a more in-depth plot that is suitable for older gamers.
Note that the PlayStation Blog post that announced this title said that it would be available for PSP owners, without mention of Vita owners. It appears as if the biggest question being asked by Sony fans is “Will this work on the Vita?” For now, we aren’t really sure. Still it’s a good excuse to dust off your old PSP and get some use out of it.
