Nintendo has revealed the where and when of its next Smash Brothers direct. The Direct will take place Tuesday, December 15 at 5 PM EST. You might remember hearing during Nintendo’s last Direct that this would be the final broadcast dedicated solely to Super Smash Brothers for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, so you’ll definitely want to tune in for some surprises.
There’s no doubt in my mind that a large portion of the Direct will be centered on the newly revealed, buster-sword-wielding SOLDIER, Cloud Strife. From what we gathered from the last Direct, it seems that we also have a new stage and some chocobo-themed Mii Fighter gear on the way. What the rest of the broadcast has in store we have no idea; personally, I’m hoping for the news that Shovel Knight won the fan ballot to become the newest DLC character. A new gameplay trailer featuring Shovel Knight and Cloud Strife doing battle, each with their respective amiibo, would be killer. Check back Wednesday for all of the details here on CheatCC!
