Furi Premise
The game Furi takes place in a highly advanced futuristic prison on a strange and colorful planet. The prison is composed of ten floating prisons that are chained together. In order to escape the prison, players must defeat the powerful guardians of each island. Furi is a fight to the death for one’s freedom and for the many secrets hidden in the prison.
Furi Main Character
In Furi, players take on the role of a character known as The Stranger. The Stranger has spent an unknown amount of time being tortured endlessly in a high-tech prison. One day, The Stranger is freed from his torture by a mysterious man called The Voice. The Voice gives The Stranger a sword and a gun and tells him that he must fight his way out of this prison if he wants his freedom.
Much of The Stranger’s past and the reason why he was trapped in this prison are revealed while players take out the different guardians of the islands. The identity of The Stranger is shrouded in mystery. He may not be the innocent man that players assume he is at the beginning. Once players make their way out of the prison, they’re met with a jaw-dropping twist that’ll change the way that they view The Stranger.
Furi Series
Furi is an indie game that manages to stand out amongst the plethora of AAA games. Unfortunately, for players looking for more of Furi’s exciting gameplay and thrilling story, it is a stand-alone. At the moment, there are no prequels or sequels to Furi. Luckily, the game’s developers, The Game Bakers, have made other sci-fi games. Furi Cheat Codes
Furi is a retro game that embraces its gaming roots. Part of those roots are cheat codes, which have sadly fallen out of fashion with new gamers. Thankfully, Furi does have a cheat code called the TGB code. Pressing, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left Trigger, Right Trigger, Left Bumper, and Right Bumper while in the main menu allows players to unlock a Speedrun Mode and higher difficulty called Furier Difficulty. This code also lets players change the background image for the main menu.
It’s a fun easter egg that makes a difficult game all the more challenging.
