Gabe Newell Resurrects Hatred on Steam

Gabe Newell Resurrects Hatred on Steam

A few days ago, Hatred, the most controversial game currently being produced, was taken off Steam Greenlight. Valve released a statement saying that it was likely not the type of game that would be published on Steam, and thus they took it off the Greenlight service.

However, it turns out that Gabe Newell himself decided to review the decision and as a result, Hatred was put back up on Steam Greenlight, quickly rising to number 1. Gabe sent this email to Jaroslaw Sielinski, chief executive of Destructive Creations, the game’s developer.

“Hi Jaroslaw. Yesterday I heard that we were taking Hatred down from Greenlight. Since I wasn’t up to speed, I asked around internally to find out why we had done that.

“It turns out that it wasn’t a good decision, and we’ll be putting Hatred back up. My apologies to you and your team. Good luck with your game.”

What do you think about this murder simulator… and no I’m not just using colorful language there. The game is honestly about playing a deranged killer on a murdering spree. Will you play it? Do you think it’s in good taste? Do you think it should be put on Steam Greenlight? Let us know in the comments.
