Guild Wars 2 Getting Console Version

NCsoft has recently revealed (via Gamespot) that their much loved Guild Wars series will be coming to consoles. Guild Wars 2 is the game in question, and, while it was revealed to be coming to consoles, what consoles and when have not yet been revealed.



Let’s examine all the consoles to see which Guild Wars 2 stands the biggest chance of getting on. The Nintendo Wii doesn’t really have the power nor the online support to run a full MMO experience. The Wii U might, though details on that console’s capabilities are still being kept under wraps. Microsoft has been notorious for preventing MMO releases on the Xbox, so perhaps the game is coming to the PS3. There is already precedent through games such as DC Universe Online.

Either way, fans should expect to get their hands on Guild Wars 2 later this year.
