Half-Life 3 Causes Tiny Protest

Half-Life 3 Causes Tiny Protest

None

A few years ago, I saw what I thought was the smallest protest in American History: four people were picketing a radio station in Minneapolis because it had pulled an unpopular program from the airwaves. Well, that protest was massive compared to the one outside of Valve’s headquarters yesterday.

Two dudes with a couple of cardboard signs and a pair of lawn chairs set up camp outside of Valve’s Bellevue offices. The signs read “Half-Life 3… Is It Left 4 Dead?” and “Canada 4 The Release Of Half Life 3.” Now, I’m no mathematician, but I’m pretty sure Canada has more than one resident, so it seems a bit pretentious for him to assume that he speaks for the entire country. But, I must admit, he speaks for me.

Gabe Newell was reportedly also sympathetic to their cause. Well, sympathetic enough to buy them some lunch. I’m not sure if Gabe was some type of negotiator in the past, but his tactics seem pretty solid to me.

All of this civil unrest comes after months of rumors have been surfacing about an upcoming Half-Life 3 (or Half-Life 2: Episode 3) title. Valve has repeatedly quashed any rumors, but they seem to be getting more numerous.

Unfortunately, there is no new information about a new Half-Life title, but if we could organize a few more protests, maybe we can change Valve’s mind.
