Hitman Announcement Striking This Week

It all comes from a single promotional image posted this morning to the Hitman Facebook page. It features Agent 47 standing, presumably, atop a building, sniper rifle in hand as he surveys the densely packed metropolis below, sun just barely breaching the horizon as the waves of the bay and the pitch-black clouds barreling in from above condense it into a thin sliver of light. The image also teases a date: May 10, 2012.

That’s this Thursday, for the calendar-averse.

We know that Hitman: Absolution is the next title in line, and it’s extremely likely that this shot and the announcement it teases in its description are both related to the upcoming game. But there’s that sliver of doubt, a chance that this announcement is something else entirely (a mobile version of the original or its sequel, perhaps?) Whatever the case, we don’t have to wait long to find out. You can be sure we’ll update you once the news is out.
