Horizon: Zero Dawn Update Adds a New Glitch

Horizon: Zero Dawn Update Adds a New Glitch

Horizon: Zero Dawn , like any other big, open world game, is rife with glitches. Many of these glitches unfortunately interfered with progression and quests. Yesterday, patch 1.04 went live, addressing most of these. However, it also introduced a new problem, although the new one is much less severe than the old ones.

The PlayStation Blog post announcing the patch lists each and every Horizon: Zero Dawn issue addressed, again all of them having to do with various Main Quests and Side Quests. Many of these events could potentially be spoiler territory, so we won’t list them here. (Check out the source for the hard details.) Here’s where the problem comes in.

After the patch, players noticed a bizarre, if not amusing, UI glitch. For now, equipment stats will show twice their actual value when looking at them in Horizon: Zero Dawn’ s menus. This is merely a UI glitch, as the actual effects are still what they should be. Look for that to be addressed in the next update. But man, wouldn’t it have been great if everyone was temporarily super-strong for a time?
