Yesterday the news broke that PS3 owners would finally be able to watch Hulu on their home consoles again starting in July, albeit it at the now more expensive than free cost of $9.99 a month. Still, $9.99 a month isn’t a horrible price considering all of the content that will be made available through the Hulu Plus television streaming service. But wait, watching Hulu on the PS3 might wind up costing even more.  So how much would you pay to watch Hulu on your PS3? According to some text found by Technologizer that was embedded on Hulu’s website, those looking to use Hulu Plus on the PS3 “must be a subscriber of the Playstation Plus Network.” While this isn’t unheard of, given the need for an Xbox Live Gold subscription to watch Netflix on the Xbox 360, it may be a bit of a shock to PS3 owners who can currently stream Netflix without paying for any additional subscriptions. Neither company has yet made an official statement regarding this matter, but we’ll let you know more as it becomes available. |
