Indie Game: The Movie Becomes HBO Scripted Series

Indie Game: The Movie , a documentary that follows the development of games like Super Meat Boy and Braid, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend. Apparently it was good enough for HBO to turn it into a fictional television series.



It sounds a bit strange, but it’s still nice to see the game development world being taken more seriously as artistic media. Now let’s hope that whatever Indie Game: The Movie becomes, it stays true to its roots in educating the masses about indie game development, but perhaps with a bit of humor thrown in to spice up the mix.
